Residence on a Linear Plot – Path to Light and Privacy
Tucked into a narrow plot, this residence rises as a clean and contemporary response to spatial constraints. The linearity of the site is embraced rather than resisted, allowing the house to unfold gradually—from entry to living, and upward toward a more private realm above.

The front façade blends stone textures, glass, and concrete into a restrained palette, giving the house a confident but quiet presence in its leafy setting. A single stone column anchors the cantilevered porch, balancing structural boldness with visual simplicity. Above, a stone-clad parapet and sloped wooden soffit form a warm contrast to the sleek glass balustrade that wraps the upper-level sit-out.

Inside, spaces flow in a linear fashion, aided by well-placed openings that bring in light and breeze. The compact 917 sq. ft. ground floor accommodates the primary living and service spaces, while the 441 sq. ft. first floor is designed for privacy, looking out toward green canopies through expansive glazing.

The design demonstrates how thoughtful planning and honest material expression can create a home that is both functional and poised, even on the most challenging plots.
